Greatest Hits Vol. 1

If you are just joining the fun at The Gift Prolific, here are a few of the basics.  On ‘Burn Night’ 2011 I started a project where I would give a small gift or do something nice for someone every single day.  Then I would go into my studio and make a small painting that represented each day’s gift experience.  I blogged about it on this site.  At the end of one year, I took 333 paintings to Burning Man 2012.  I built a small gallery with each of the paintings…and on Friday (Aug. 31st 2012) at noon, I gave all of the paintings away as gifts themselves.  People can use this site to research the gifts that inspired their art piece.  Many of the participants have even sent in emails about where they placed their painting or what they did with it.  This has been the greatest adventure I have ever chased.  I am not sure yet how the project will evolve.  I still give daily and post from time to time about giving or gift experiences.  Thanks for checking out my project.  Give something everyday.  Take care.  (Below are a few of my favorite photos from my adventure.)

One Response to Greatest Hits Vol. 1

  1. This is such a wonderful sounding project, I have a lot of respect for you! It reminds me of the film Amelie actually, don’t know if you’ve seen it! I hope you’ve made a lot of people happy and created some amazing artwork!
