Bear Mountain (GP2_Feb_18)

feb_18I am beat.  Today was a typical day at work.  Nothing spectacular.  When I was stocking the bread Gavin asked me for a ride to the airport after work.  I told him that would be fine. Later in the day Craig and I were talking and I found out that Cassandra, his girlfriend, was flying home from a trip to promote her movie, tomorrow night….so I offered to pick her up at the airport.  I am like a regular airport shuttle!  hehe.  I am counting these trips to the airport as gifts.  I am sure they will make life just a wee bit easier for these folks.  Plus it gives me a chance to pretend to be a taxi driver….A job I wish to hold in another life.  And speaking on ”counting” today’s gifts as official…

I am ”counting” this painting as official too.  When I got home I started working on it and spent a lot longer than the usual GP paintings.  That’s also partly because it’s not really a GP painting.  This painting is a painting for an upcoming art show at Public Works.  I feel though that I spent all my time and energy on this piece tonight and I am just not willing to stay up until 1 or 2am tonight for a Marathon Painting.  So I will use this one…since I spent all night on it.  This painting is 12 x12 on deep canvas.  I had a hard time liking this piece…it was work for sure.  The deadline to drop paintings off is tomorrow.  So here goes.  The show is March 9th….here is the link, check it out.  It should be fun.  So that wraps up my evening.  Back to work in the morning.  Thanks for reading along.  Thanks for understanding my ‘night off’.  Take care.

This painting will be available at the Beats and Beasts show on March 9th.  I will work to make the price affordable.  I will update this adventure in the near future.  Thanks and take care.
