Underwater Love (GP2_Feb_12)

feb_12Today has been filled with painting.  It started off slow.  But around ten I started working on the Trader Joe’s Mural.  I painted the Humpback whale and some other stuff….and in all I put in 8 hours on the thing.  Big murals take a LONG time.  Who knew?  Anyway.  During my ‘after dinner break’ I made some homemade oatmeal chocolate chip cookies.  And since we can’t keep all of them around the house, we gifted a dozen to Brian, our upstairs neighbor.  He even came down to the studio to check out the mural that I had worked on all day.  Giving cookies is one of my favorite gifts….It just feels good to bake and bring joy to people with your baked goods.

This painting was a blast.  I love painting the spots on a turtle.  In fact, without the spots….it looks like some weird alien creature.  The spots make the turtle….the stripes do indeed make the zebra.  I painted this painting this morning….not last night.  After working on the mural all day it was just too much to paint an extra 2 hours.  So here it is a few hours late.  Take care.

This painting was bought by Ally Wong Pagatpatan!  Thanks Ally!
