Never Fade Away (GP2_Feb_10)

feb_10Today has been a great day.  Mostly.  I worked on art stuff…cleaned my messy studio.  I proudly rid myself of one trash bag full of clutter!  This alone could have been my gift today.  I feel so much lighter.  Anyway…Tonight Theresa, Darwin and I had dinner with Jasson and Diane.  Some good friends of ours invited us over to their newly built house for dinner.  This was one of the best Birthday Experiences and also one of the first ones that I collected, this year.  Diane made us a fantastic stir fry.  The conversation was great…It was really nice to catch up.  It was really nice to be with my friends in their beautiful home.  Jasson and I have a great friendship.  We can go long periods without hanging out and when we get together it is like I saw him yesterday.  It is so great.  I like when friends never fade away.  My tiny gift for the day is that I baked Oatmeal Chocolate Chip and Sea Salt cookies for dessert.  The cookies were a big success.  All in all it was a fantastic evening.  Soon Jasson and Diane will have a housewarming party…..I am going to have to get them something really good.

It is late.  Painting after dinner is tough.  I just want to go to bed…ha ha.  Anyway…painting a skull in the February Marathon is just like and old friend showing up.  This just sort of happened with not too much thought.  Like I painted one yesterday.  And just like our visit to the Flick’s house, my time with this painting was far too short.  I could have painted all night.  I could have sat on Jasson’s couch all night and talked about anything and everything.  This is a deer skull.  The writing on the bottom is a letter to a friend….seems appropriate.  The Enzo in this painting maybe represents connections between friends.  I like it.  I really am enjoying this February Marathon…Take care.

As with all of the February Marathon paintings this one is for sale!  $100 dollars plus shipping.  Email me here and I will send you the PayPal link to buy it.  This painting is on 9 x 12 inch wood panel.  Thank you for supporting my art and my dreams.  Enjoy.

I will remove this part of the post when the painting sells.
