Let The Rain Come In (GP2-011)

william_e_whitmore1-300x258I am up super early this morning.  This is nothing new for me….I like getting up early.  While Theresa and Darwin are still sleeping I make a huge pan of Blueberry muffins.  Scoring mad husband points.  Now it’s off to my studio….Today is a painting day.  I have a show on Friday and I have 2 more paintings to finish by then.  I would like to get them squared away today and be able to enjoy a day off with the family tomorrow….here goes.  Somehow, it’s noon and I have not found a way to put brush to canvas yet…ugh.  I am not really blocked…more feeling the pressure of a fast approaching deadline and not really wanting to paint all day.  I just need to get started.  I put the painting that is half done aside and start another one.  And then it goes….I paint from Noon to about 9pm.  And finish a new painting.  After I am done I decide that as today’s gift I am going to make a CD for a friend of mine that likes the blog and the project.  So I message her and get her address….Now I am compiling songs from William Elliott Whitmore (the guy in the picture).  He is a horse farmer from Lee County, Iowa.  He is also my favorite song writer.  I think my friend Darcy will really dig this guy.  So here goes today’s gift.  And if you are interested here is the painting that I finished today.

tat2This is Tatiana.  She is the Tiger that was provoked and teased a few years ago at the San Francisco Zoo.  This is my tribute to her story.  Take care.
