Day 296 – Breakout

I am feeling panicky and weird.  So I am leaving the house.  Fresh air, birds, and the sounds of the city all call to me.  I am meeting up with my friend Sara.  We walk through the mission and catch up a little.  We have a great time just walking and talking in the sun.  Sara is my concert buddy….so we make plans for some upcoming shows.  I gotta head back home now….meeting a guy to sell a painting.  Before I go I give Sara a painting that I made of a Bear Skull.  She likes it a lot.  We hug and I jump a train back home.  Simple, easy, and chill day.  Hanging out and catching up made everything a little bit better today.  Thanks Sara.

fun little bird drawing.  I made it while I was watching a movie about chess.  I don’t know if you know….but I LOVE chess.  Wanna play?  Later maybe….after Burning Man.  Take care.

One Response to Day 296 – Breakout

  1. Linda Garrity says:

For me it’s a struggle to find the energy and enthusiasm to do it, but I’ve learned it’s a remarkable thing when you feel poorly to just get out of yourself and interact with somebody…glad to hear that your time around town and being with your friend calmed you down and nourished you.
No, I didn’t happen to know you loved chess-always another surprise day after day! My grandpa LOVED chess and pre-internet used to play for hours by phone with a friend of his who lived elsewhere. My dad also played, but somehow I never wanted to learn beyond how each piece moved. I inherited two chess sets, neither of them anything spectacular, but no one here was interested, so I ended up giving them away. Now I’m a bit sorry I did that b/c just looking at them used to make me smile……not sure if you would remember the Joni Mitchell line, “Don’t it always seem to go that you don’t know what you got ’til it’s gone?”
