Day 282 – Kick In With Kickstarter

I am reading about really cool projects on  My campaign to raise money for The Gift Prolific (see the video and pledge if you haven’t already) was super successful.  And now I want to find cool projects that interest me and back them a little.  So in the search box I input ‘gift’ and come across a pretty neato project.  It is called the Serendipity Outpost, a Burning Man project that generates a random giving experience for the user.  WOW!  What a cool idea!  Watch their video to see how it will work.  I would really like to see this at Burning Man….hell, I would like to see this in the real world too!  So I pledge a sturdy 10 bucks.  I hope they meet their goal.  Good Luck guys!

I hope that they come by my project this year and we have a great discussion about giving.  Kickstarter is a great crowd sourcing tool.  I have seen all kinds of cool projects get funding on there.  I am now starting a few ideas for my next project and will probably use kickstarter or indiegogo for the funding.  Who ever came up with this idea is brilliant!  It has helped so many cool projects get done.  And they weren’t sponsored by big corporations…..just cool people supporting each other.  That is a huge gift in itself.  Take care.
