Day 188 – Call of the West

Tonight I am making dinner for someone that I used to hang out with quite a bit when I lived in Los Angeles.  She moved here a year ago to do some school.  But we have not gotten to hang out much….school keeps everyone busy.  Her name is Jessica and she is pretty cool!  I am making stuffed pasta shells.  We get to hang and talk about lots of stuff….all the stuff we are up to lately.  As it is in my experience….dinner is so much about company and visiting, not just the food.

This was a super fun painting to make.  I will definitely be reworking this into a larger painting.  Maybe this week….I always have artshows coming up.  Take care.

One Response to Day 188 – Call of the West

  1. Linda Garrity says:

I very much agree that dining is about the company and the conversation much more so than the food….I’m an extremely slow eater anyways (WW tip from years ago) and so most often, don’t even order in restaurants and hope that a few of my fellow diners will give me a bite or two of whatever they ordered!
I don’t get the symbolism of this one, but love that it came easily and naturally and was fun for you as well as to give you a starter idea for larger versions you may choose to create later. Your creative juices seem to be flowing again……
    XOXO
