This has been a great week. And today is my 36th Birthday! Yeah! I have had a pretty great weekend….Theresa and Darwin and I went hiking on Friday near Lobos Creek in the Presidio. Saturday we went to the Treasure Island Flea Market and found some cool treasures. One of which was a glass head! I had never seen one before and was quite sure that it was incredibly valuable….turns out that they sell them for 20 bucks at Pier One. But for like 2 hours the possibility of fortune was thrilling!
Saturday night we went out for Indian food with many of my friends! It was fantastic to hang out for a while, enjoying some of my favorite food with cherished friends. After dinner my friend Eric invited us all over to his house to have homemade Cheesecake! It was a superb evening and the gifts that people gave me were all very well thought out. One thing I did notice is that receiving gifts has really change for me. I really feel the connection and closeness to the giver. I really feel the warmth and the love in their thoughts of me when making or giving their gift to me. Some people just spent time with me and that was amazing. Some people bought stuff and that really was neat to see the gift that they knew I would enjoy. Some people made stuff for me and you can actually see their love in the details of their work. I now understand that giving gifts daily has really made me focus on the intent and love with which gifts can be given. I am so very lucky for all of the people in my life. And this weekend has reminded me just how awesome each of them are! Thank you to all of you who have supported me, loved me, and been here for me!
As for paintings….I am a little behind. I will be working tonight in my studio and get a few caught up. I made some pretty cool gifts this weekend to and I can’t wait to tell you about them. Take care.
