Day 132 – Art In Action

Today I made a small financial gift to the Black Rock Arts Foundation.  This is the latest non-profit arm of Burning Man.  They foster public art that builds interaction and community.  It is a pretty cool organization.  They have already made the city of San Francisco much cooler with several art projects and pieces placed around town.  Please take time to check out their site.

This is a really simple one..The Man Sculpture. This is a pretty crappy drawing of him.  Sorry.  I am a little tired tonight.  But Burning Man is on my mind all the time now.  This project is so big but so entrenched in my thoughts.  I am still as excited as ever.  See ya tomorrow.

    My dear friend Josh,
I’m sure your counselor must mention this from time to time, but I must say again…..stop apologizing all the time!!! Your art for this humongous project you’ve taken on is what it is and that’s fine. Don’t take my comments personally; I’m still working on the concept myself!

Thanks for the link to the organization you supported-I looked through it and see that they put up some pretty funky things around town. We have something similar here in Chicago-I was just reminded of one I go past fairly regularly, but never bothered to look up what it is and why it is there: Here’s the link to that if you have time and are interested:

      Thanks Linda,

I only apologize when I don’t gt to work on something as long as I would have liked. I wish I had a lot more time to get these all done. Thanks for that link for the Waymarking link to that Chicago piece. THAT is way cool and very much looks like art that would be at Burning Man! Very cool. Take care. Have a good Sunday. See ya. -Josh

  2. I am looking forward to seeing your follow-up post. It feels good to give back. Your art work looks good. I was just thinking today how sad it was that my neighbors in my building don’t interact. Keep up the good work 🙂 BTW I saw your post on WP forum and that is how I found your site.
