It’s Your Turn To Do This….Seriously.

Carole Marine’s Painting of a Gift

This is a call to all who read this blog.  I am looking for you to make one gift for someone….anyone.  Then I want you to make a small painting, or drawing, or crappy cartoon of the gift or experience.  You don’t have to be representational just do your best and make a small piece of art.  Then I want you to send a picture of it including a few lines about the gift experience and a few lines about the process or reflection.  You DON’T have to be an artist!  Please….just have fun and do something really cool for someone.  I will post your stories regularly on the blog.  Kind of like a guest spot!  So get working!  I wanna see some cool art and hear some great stories.  I want to be able to share my experience directly with you….so get to it!  Thank you.

I like your idea, but am greatly intimidated by the part about trying to create a work of art that relates to the gift. I like working with computer graphics, but don’t feel confident in any other medium to create anything like I think you’re looking for. Also, I’m wondering about the constraints of replying to your blog; I don’t see any way to change fonts, include links, etc.
Hmmmmmmmmm, I’ll have to ponder this one-the giving is so simple for me, but what you’re asking will be quite the challenge……as you might say, I’m going to have to sit with this for a while!

Don’t be intimidated. You could make anything!!! The real important part is the gift, the story and some representation of the whole thing. I think if enough people do it they will be really great because they will all be different skill levels and varieties. So get to work! lol. Good luck. And I can’t wait to see it.
