Day 76 – Something Small

Today after I was done checking out at Safeway I noticed that up in the front of the store they had placed a large barrel to collect canned goods.  The sign says that it goes to a local food bank here in the city.  I didn’t buy anything just for this, but I look through my bag of groceries to see what I did get….I got 3 cans of refried beans.  Looks like the food bank gets one of these cans.  Then I think about everyone giving one can of refried beans….what a massive burrito we could make!  I don’t mean to make light of the hunger problem facing our cities and towns.  Just sharing a funny mental picture of a giant burrito being airlifted into the downtown area.  Another simple gift…

…And another simple painting.  I think part of this project means that they don’t all have to be intricate super paintings.  They just have to represent the gifting idea.  And who knows?  Maybe someone really wants a painting with a blank can on it.  See ya later.  Go eat a giant burrito for me.
