Day 75 – Check Your Calendars

This is a very simple and very easy gift but an important one none the less.  Today I picked up a few advent calendars to send to all of my nieces and nephews.  The ones I got were from Trader Joe’s….They aren’t much.  But it is something that is fun for all involved.  The kids do actually like them.  I enjoy giving them….it is after all an easy gift.  There isn’t a whole lot more I can say about it….Oh and I picked one up for Darwin too.  I hope he digs it.

As I have said before….Simple gift.  Simple painting.  I really couldn’t think of anything but this for the advent calendar gift.  The cool thing about this is…the person who takes it could actually use it as an advent calendar!  I don’t know….maybe no one will take this one.  We will see.  Well I gotta go…I am working on a lot of art these days.  See ya.

Did you buy the ones with the chocolates behind each door? My son Colin used to love those when he was a kid and when I saw them this year, I was so sad b/c he currently has no address to send anything to-I thought he wouldn’t care any more, but I asked them and he said that he still likes them.
Hey, I don’t know if this is completely crazy, but Colin is somewhere in San Francisco right now, lining up some deal for a one month lease on a furnished apartment somewhere. I asked him if he knows what he might be doing on Thanksgiving; he said that he’s going to look for a homeless person to take to dinner since he’ll probably be alone that day anyway.
I have it in my head that I would love for the two of you to somehow meet some time in the next month, so that he could hear your story in person and see some of your art (and perhaps he could take you out for Indian food?). Is that totally ridiculous or anything that you would even consider?
Let me know your thoughts……you can reply via my email if you’d rather not post it here.
    XOXO

      Hey Linda,

This is not out of the question….We will be volunteering on Thanksgiving day for Meals on Wheels. But our shift is over around 3pm. We are thinking of heading to a friends house after that for dinner. I am sure it would be cool if more people went. Or we could meet up with him another time. I will send you an email with more details.

Yeah we got the chocolate ones! The chocolate is kind of gross but hey…its all fun. Talk to you soon.

the chocolate is NOT gross! it is delicious………The kids love them and Darwin will love them too, and if I was at the burn and hadn’t thought about the advent calenders that someone gave to me as a kid, I would defiantly want the picture….great gift
