Day 61 – Infectious Laughter

I am walking back into the Trader Joe’s parking lot.  I have been out for a walk on my lunch break.  It was a nice break.  I hold in my hands a 20 oz. bottle of Diet Coke and for once it isn’t mine.  I bought this tasty beverage for one of my favorite people at Trader Joe’s….Andrew Chen.  Andrew is awesome.  It is kind of hard to explain but I am always happy to see him and I usually yell out his name when I do.  He always takes time to talk with me.  Even if he is complaining about his job….I love talking with him.  He is excited about the Diet Coke.  He works hard…and a little refreshment is always welcomed.  Today he is working mostly in the parking lot, rounding up carts…..and dodging shady drivers.  He smiles and tells me about his sister’s house and moving…then we talk about how much we disliked some of our old bosses.  He has this amazing laughter.  It gets me laughing every time he cracks up.  It’s like it is contagious….infectious.  I am so happy to have ever known Andrew Chen.

Tonight’s painting was an oddball.  I kind of had a little bit of painter’s block for a few hours.  That happens so rarely to me.  But when it does it is awful.  The molecule in the bottom right corner is caffeine.  That is really the only connection to today’s gift.  I guess the birds are the color of Diet Coke…lol.  There’s that laughter again.  Take care.

very nice, wish I could be a nice person, seems like I am always stressed and upset to notice the good things.

yeah? Believe me….I am stressed out a lot. But I think that is part of what makes this daily giving so worth doing….You have to find a way to dance through the hard times. Life can’t be that bad if you can still find a way to give everyday. Hang in there.

Some things about you remind me very much of our younger son, Colin-he is quite friendly and outgoing and it only seems to take him a very short time to consider someone his friend. From what I can tell about you, you seem to be a person to whom people are drawn and fully appreciate those who brighten and enrich your day; it seems that you also have an awareness of how valuable that is in everyday life.
I love a good infectious laugh! I know things aren’t going that well for me when I’m suddenly aware that I haven’t laughed nearly enough in quite some time…….SO therapeutic!
PS The inner scientist in me loves the chemical formula in the corner!
