Day 22 – Abundance.

I have been wanting to give a painting away for a while.  And this one (above) seemed as good as any.  A while back when my friend Kathryn babysat for us she had asked me if it was new.  I took this that she was interested in it.  I didn’t think about it right then….but I slowly caught on.  So today I am gonna give it to her.  I think she will be surprised and really like it.  She is always super nice to me and my family…she is really sweet.  So I guess I am just showing a little appreciation that she is there.  Being her.  I know she is gonna love it.

As a tribute to my own painting here is today’s piece.  Kind of an update, if you will.  I painted that other painting almost four years ago.  So it was fun to revisit it…and it was fun to say goodbye.  This one is a lot looser….a lot more free flowing.  I like that.  It was nice to just get one quick on done.  This took less than an hour.  So that was cool.  It was fun to get to repaint one.  I feel like I could do that for a lot of paintings…..repaint the same on a million times.  Maybe that will be next year’s project!  ha ha.

  1. Liz Crusey says:

Hey Josh! Kathryn’s my sister. Last night we talked for a long time. One of the things we talked about a lot was how grateful and honored she is to have one of your paintings. She is so excited to find a place for it in her apartment. It’s beautiful – thanks for caring for her in this tangible way. All the best, -Liz

  2. I must say…my sis, Kathryn, is a very lucky girl. Love the owl and the style variations!
