Don’t worry….it is a song by one of my favorite artists! I am not digging any graves. Tonight is our 4 year wedding anniversary. And as a gift, my friend Amy got us tickets to one of our favorites musician’s performance downtown. William Elliott Whitmore is amazing and if you have not listened to him yet…go now and do so. his songs have really changed my life. We are very excited that he is playing on our anniversary. It feels like things lining up just right. And having the tickets gifted to us was even cooler. As he takes the stage, the pain in my jaw fades and we are able to enjoy the show. Singing along, listening intently, holding hands, and thinking about my dad, my old country home, and my good friends, we have grand old time. During a break in the music Theresa runs to the front of the stage and tells Will that it is our anniversary. When he sits back down he congratulates us, and wishes us the best. It was really great. We find ourselves surrounded by a contingent of people who are here just to see Will. Forget who is headlining! He is the main attraction. A few couples are all around us and we all have a great time enjoying the show together. After the show we talk to one couple, whose first time seeing Will was tonight. They liked the show very much. We exchange numbers so we can all go see him again in December. And then I gift the the last of my yogurt gift cards. I tell them to share a yogurt on me and explain a little about the project. It was a cool way to end an awesome evening.
This painting took a lot longer than usual and I still feel like it isn’t done. I want to add so much but I am gonna fall behind on my paintings. It is all about the show. How it was a gift for us to be there…and we made a gift while we were there. And it was a huge gift to us that Whitmore publicly wished us well from the stage, after which many in the crowd congratulated us. I promise I will catch up on the posts….as this weekend I am still in a lot of pain. Take care.
