Day 15 – Every Little Bit Helps

My friend Sarah is raising money for a charity.  She will be running a half marathon in Las Vegas in November to raise awareness and money for research for Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis.  I love these fundraisers.  They really speak to me.  A person really cares for something, maybe even has a very personal story and connection to a cause.  Then they decide that they are going to do something about it…so they ask lots of people that they know to support them.  This is a great gift on all accounts.  I pledge ten dollars.  It isn’t much.  But I don’t have much right now.  But a little really does go a long way.  I pledge to make a 1o dollar donation every payday until she runs.  She is awesome for taking on this challenge.  Good for her.  Thanks to her as well for giving us all a chance to give.

Today’s painting is directly about today’s gift.  Crohn’s disease….raising money…and running in the desert!  I am glad I was able to support my friend.  This painting was fun and challenging.  It was mostly what I wanted to do.  I would add a few small things…but I feel it is pretty complete.  This would be cool as a large wall mural I think…well I am off to bed.  Take care.
