Day 6 – Straight Out of Sherrodsville, Ohio

My Grandma Clow knows a thing or two about letters.  She was the postmaster in Sherrodsville, Ohio when I was a kid.  Today I decided to write her an old fashioned letter to tell her how much she means to me.  In the letter I say how great it was being a kid and spending time at her house in the summer.  My brothers and cousins would hide out, indoors, from the muggy Ohio heat…eating push-ups, Golden Nuggett Bars (think Snickers Ice Cream bars) and my all time favorite, the Ice Cream Sandwiches.  I tell her how those memories have shaped how I currently parent.  Seeking adventure at every turn isn’t something I came up with…It was taught to me by my Grandma, as if it were a tradition.  I tell her that I miss her and love her.  I say thank you.  I know she will like this letter.

Today’s painting is what you might expect from this gift.  My all time favorite Ice Cream Sandwich!  Simple and easy.  I needed to get a quick one done today.  I have been working overnights and I am running low on energy.  I feel like it fits in very well with the others.  I really enjoyed painting it very loosely.  Someone is gonna love it and take it home with them.

Tomorrow is day 7!!!  One week since we started!  Only 52 to go.  Yikes.
